Another building block on

the way to the Mobility

Center

La Gare Balingen GmbH was founded in 2014 with the aim of operating the various business lines in the Balingen train station (privately owned since 2013). This included first the e-bike center Balingen, then the DB agency, and after major reconstruction measures the Café la Gare. With the abandonment of the former offices of the DB Regio in the summer of 2015, it was possible to convert the first section of the Hotel Bahnhof Balingen from these rooms and an adjoining vacant apartment.

History meets modernity

Unlike a new building, one must with a conversion, and in addition to a monument- protected object, with the spatial conditions disprove. The guest can live comfortably and in a contemporary way and recognizes the historical style. To ensure adequate sound insulation, we have, for example, the room doors made of modern soundproofing elements. The craftsmanship is elaborately modeled on the style of the builders in 1912. The ornaments of the window reveals, some of which were hidden behind bulky radiators, have been uncovered and now offer a view of the inventor's wealth of ideas.

While the honeymoon room on the south side is the highlight of the hotel (not only in terms of size, location and facilities), the other rooms are in no way inferior. In the signalman's room, the simple style of living of a 1912 family becomes apparent. In the poetry room literature is paid homage, in the music room the love of music. In the last section, the guest can spend the night in the adjoining facility of a sleeping car and still enjoy the tranquility of the house. Speaking of rest. The construction with the thick walls, the acoustic door and cover and the modern equipment with thick mattresses let you sleep trouble-free.
